About Busch

Busch produces vacuum technologies used in industrial and process applications. The Busch equipment represented in our catalog includes rotary vane pumps, dry pump technologies, scroll pumps, and vacuum boosters.

Our Busch collection highlights product families such as:

  • R5 rotary vane vacuum pumps

  • MINK dry claw vacuum pumps

  • COBRA screw vacuum pumps

  • FOSSA scroll pumps

  • WV and WZ vacuum boosters

These product lines support applications such as food packaging, chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, laboratory work, plastics, drying, thin-film technology, semiconductor processing, electronics, metallurgy, and central vacuum systems.

The correct Busch model depends on the required pumping speed, operating pressure, inlet connection, motor configuration, process conditions, and compatibility with the rest of the vacuum system.

Busch Product Lines We Carry

Our online Busch catalog includes several equipment categories.

Additional Busch vane pump models may also be available in the RA and RC series. Check the individual product listing for current condition, price, availability, technical specifications, and available documentation.

Need Help Identifying Your Model?

The model information is usually printed on the equipment nameplate. When contacting us, provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • Manufacturer

  • Complete model number

  • Serial number

  • Part number

  • Pump type

  • Motor voltage and phase

  • Inlet and exhaust connection sizes

  • Pumping speed

  • Oil type

  • Photos of the equipment and nameplate

  • Description of the application

  • Description of the current problem

This information helps us identify the equipment, review available configurations, and determine whether a replacement or repair option is available.

If the original nameplate is damaged or missing, send clear photos of the complete pump, motor, inlet, exhaust, electrical connections, and any visible identification markings.

Busch Repair & Rebuild Services

We provide vacuum pump repair services for roughing pumps, high-vacuum pumps, and ultra-high-vacuum pumps from major original equipment manufacturers.

Our published Busch repair capabilities include:

  • Busch WV series vacuum boosters

  • Busch WZ series vacuum boosters

  • Busch DS series dry pumps

  • Busch RA series rotary vane pumps

  • Busch RC series rotary vane pumps

  • Additional Busch equipment reviewed upon request

Send us the model number, serial number, equipment condition, and a description of the problem. We can review the information and explain the next steps for sending the unit to our Soquel, California facility.

Common signs that a Busch pump may require inspection include:

  • Reduced vacuum performance

  • Difficulty reaching the expected pressure

  • Unusual noise

  • Increased vibration

  • Air leakage

  • Fluid leakage

  • Noticeable operating changes

  • Equipment that no longer performs according to its listed specifications

Stop operating the equipment when continued use could create additional damage. Contact us before disassembling, modifying, or attempting to repair equipment that may be covered by a Provac warranty.

Rebuild Process & Turnaround

The process begins by contacting our team with the Busch model and service request. Before equipment is shipped to our facility, an RMA number must be issued.

To send a Busch pump or booster for evaluation:

  1. Contact us with the equipment information and service concern.

  2. Create an RMA.

  3. Complete the required contamination data sheet.

  4. Place the RMA number on the shipping label or associated shipping documents.

  5. Package the equipment carefully to prevent contamination or shipping damage.

  6. Ship the equipment prepaid to our Soquel facility.

The contamination data sheet and shipping instructions are available in our documentation library.

Repair turnaround depends on the equipment, condition, service requirements, and current parts availability. Contact us for current timing after we review the Busch model and the requested work.

Warranty Coverage

Provac’s standard warranty period is 12 months from the date the equipment is shipped from our Soquel, California facility for products subject to warranty coverage.

The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship when the equipment is operated as intended and according to the original manufacturer’s installation, operating, and maintenance instructions.

Warranty coverage does not include problems caused by:

  • Neglect

  • Improper use

  • Operation outside the manufacturer’s ratings

  • Chemical attack on equipment materials

  • Unauthorized disassembly

  • Unauthorized inspections

  • Repairs or modifications performed without Provac’s approval

  • Freight carrier damage

  • Damage to equipment or components connected to the covered product

Contact us as soon as you notice a change in noise, vibration, leakage, or vacuum performance. Continued operation after a problem is discovered may cause additional damage that is not covered.

All warranty returns require authorization and an RMA number. Review our warranty and return information or contact us to confirm the coverage that applies to a specific Busch unit.

New vs. Rebuilt Busch Pumps

We offer both new and rebuilt Busch equipment. The right choice depends on the required model, system configuration, availability, budget, and application.

When to Buy New vs. Rebuilt

A new Busch pump or booster may be suitable when:

  • Your project requires new equipment

  • You need a particular configuration

  • The required model is available in new condition

  • A new unit is specified for the system

  • Pricing and lead time meet the project requirements

Some new Busch models, including listed WV and WZ boosters, require an inquiry to confirm current pricing and lead time.

A rebuilt Busch pump may be suitable when:

  • You need a replacement for an existing model

  • You want to keep the current system configuration

  • A rebuilt model is already listed in our catalog

  • You need an older RA, RC, RL, or FOSSA model

  • The available specifications match your application

  • Replacing the complete vacuum system is unnecessary

Many of our rebuilt Busch listings provide detailed specifications, including motor information, inlet size, pumping speed, ultimate pressure, oil type, and equipment weight. Some listings also include manuals and technical sheets.

Review the complete product listing before ordering. Contact us when you need another voltage, motor, inlet, oil, or equipment configuration.

Can't Find a Specific Part?

Parts availability depends on the Busch model, equipment age, part number, and current supply.

Send us:

  • The complete Busch model number

  • The equipment serial number

  • The exact part number

  • A photo of the existing part

  • A photo of the equipment nameplate

  • A description of where the part is installed

  • The quantity required

We will review the information and check whether the part, a compatible component, a complete replacement pump, or a repair option is available.

Do not rely only on the pump family name when ordering a part. Different configurations within the same Busch series may use different motors, seals, connections, fluids, or internal components.

Frequently Asked Questions About Busch Vacuum Equipment

Are Busch parts still available?

Some Busch parts may be available or sourceable, but availability varies by model and part number. Send us the complete model number, serial number, part number, and equipment photos so we can check the available options.

When an individual part is unavailable, we may be able to discuss a repair, rebuilt replacement pump, alternate configuration, or another compatible equipment option.

Do you service older Busch models?

Yes. Our published repair capabilities include Busch WV and WZ vacuum boosters, Busch DS dry pumps, and Busch RA and RC rotary vane pumps. We also review additional equipment upon request.

Contact us with the model number and equipment condition, even when the unit is no longer displayed in the current online catalog.
